“From the start I was a new guy in the NBA, didn’t know a lot about it and there’s a big learning process during every game,” said Valanciunas, who admitted he’s starting to get more calls from refs around the league. ...

Raptors Fade In Fourth, Falling 108-98 To Pistons

rapspistons040113_7

TORONTO (CP)_Fans in Toronto have been known to show their rancour when ex- Raptors make their return, but that wasn’t the case for Jose Calderon.

Unlike the boos that regularly rain down on former Toronto stars Chris Bosh or Vince Carter, Calderon was showered with adulation prior to the Detroit Pistons’ 108-98 comeback victory over Toronto on Monday.

Calderon had 19 points and nine assists for Detroit in his first game back since being traded in a three-team deal that brought Rudy Gay to Toronto from the Memphis Grizzlies on Jan. 30.

rapsknicks032313_1

“It feels really good personally but when you can’t get the win, you wish you did a little bit more,” Anderson said afterward.

Raptors Can’t Come Back Against Bobcats In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CP) — Gerald Henderson is enjoying the best streak of his four-year NBA career, and the Charlotte Bobcats are playing better, too.
