BOSTON (CP) — Jared Sullinger was piling up the rebounds and needed an assist from sidelined guard Rajon Rondo to realize what was happening.

Sullinger scored 25 points and grabbed a career-best 20 rebounds, Avery Bradley had 20 points and the Boston Celtics held on to snap a nine-game losing streak with an 88-83 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

“Drake Night” Shirts Revealed

The Raptors are back on track after a win over the Pistons and now head into a very big divisional game against the surging Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.

It’s also going to be Drake Night — a themed night hosted by the Raptors Global Ambassador, which will also feature a halftime DJ set from Future The Prince.

Raptors Fans Help Raise $35,000 For Philippines

The Toronto Raptors would like to thank fans for supporting the Philippine Typhoon Relief Efforts at Air Canada Centre.

All in-game donations raised tonight versus the Charlotte Bobcats were matched by the Raptors totaling $35K to be directed to the devastated region through a partnership with NBA Cares and UNICEF.

To continue to support relief efforts, please join the NBA Cares Family in support of UNICEF and other organizations who are mobilizing to aid communities and people suffering from this tragedy.

MLSE’s Tim Leiweke Sleeps Out For Covenant House

That’s all the comfort Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment CEO Tim Leiweke will be afforded as he joins 73 corporate and community leaders braving sub-zero temperatures at the Covenant House Executive Sleep Out, Thursday night in downtown Toronto.

The event supports $20 million in programs to provide shelter, food, education and support to the estimated 3,000 youths without shelter who turn to Covenant House every year.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Rudy Gay’s return to Memphis was quite successful, not only for him personally, but for his Toronto teammates.
