Lowry Makes Special Delivery After Interception In Chicago

It wasn’t exactly a banner finish to 2013 for Alan Vale.

The name may not sound familiar, but his plight just might. Vale was the fan in the Raptors jersey below. He’s the one who doesn’t end up with Kyle Lowry’s shoes after the Raptors’ New Year’s Eve road win over the Bulls.

Ouch. The night started well enough for Vale, a Toronto native who decided to travel to Chicago to see his favourite team on New Year’s Eve.

“I went with my girlfriend and we just wanted to go to an ...

Game Preview: Raptors vs. Nets

Tonight presents a pretty important divisional game for a relatively unchallenged front-running Raptors team when the host the Brooklyn Nets (7 PM, TSN2, Sportsnet 590 The FAN)

Since players from the Raptors locker were pulled from the lineup before the December 8th game in Los Angeles, the remaining group has banded together and integrated pieces fairly seemlessly from Sacramento. Beating the Lakers that night in Kobe Bryant’s return was considered an upset, as was beating the Bulls in Chicago (twice). Same with Dallas, definitely in OKC and indubitably versus ...

demar-score-600

The Raptors remarkable post-trade run continued into a new calendar year on Wednesday with possibly their best win of the season — a 95-82 win against the league-leading Pacers.

DeMar DeRozan struggled early but picked up his shooting in the fourth quarter on his way to a game-high 26 points in the win and the performance also re-wrote the Raptors’ record book.

DeRozan’s third 20+ point scoring effort in his last fourth games vaulted him past Jose Calderon for number five on the Raptors all-time scoring list, which seems astounding for ...

The ‘Road Warriors’ Return Home: We’ve learned that this new version of the Raptors travels pretty well with wins in five of their last six road games, including Friday’s 95-83 win over the Knicks at MSG.

Which Raptors Team Will We See?  It was a tough time to take a mini-break for the Raptors, who were playing some of their best basketball of the season before a brief holiday break. They’re 4-2 since newly-acquired players from the Kings joined the lineup and head coach Dwane Casey has said he sees the mental toughness growing with his group.

That includes some surprising wins against Western Conference powers in the Thunder and Mavs last week, but how will the Raptors respond after a couple days off against Eastern Conference foes? ...
