Day one of the NBA Draft Combine has wrapped in Chicago and members of the Raptors front office have had a closer look at an undeniably deep draft class. Executive vice-president of basketball operations Ed Stefanski caught up with our Jeff Landicho during the day and described the relevance of the two-day affair and also offered up a little insight into how the Raptors are approaching the upcoming draft on June 28th.

Raptors To Pick Eighth After NBA Draft Lottery

There was no NBA Draft Lottery luck for the Raptors on Wednesday, as they remain in the eighth spot following a process that was very much about stone cold probabilities for most part. The Raptors had about a 12 per cent chance to move into the top three picks, a 70 per cent shot of staying eighth and were faced with the very real possibility of falling at least one spot to ninth (16.5 per cent).

DeMar DeRozan’s summer just got a little busier with the news that the shooting guard has been added to USA Basketball’s Olympic Select Roster.
