Raptors In The Zone Late To Outlast Nuggets At ACC

Some quick hits on a solid 105-96 win for the Raptors over the Nuggets at ACC on Wednesday.

Bargnani Back?: This was a resurgent effort for Andrea Bargnani with 26 points on 50 per cent shooting from the field. He was aggressive going to the rim early, which helped get him to the line 12 times on the night. He also surpassed 6,000 points for his NBA career by the second quarter, becoming just the fourth player in franchise history to do so.

His only 3-point makes of the night came during ...

Raptors Disappear Early In Latest Meeting With Magic

The Raptors’ search for consistency continues as Monday’s disappointing 117-101 blowout loss to the Orlando Magic comes hot on the heels of two of their finest consecutive efforts of the season.

Injuries? To be sure. But the absences of DeMar DeRozan and Jerryd Bayless weren’t an excuse Saturday when the Raptors pushed the league-leading Bulls to the limit in an overtime road loss. The Raptors even had Bayless back briefly for this one, with the guard putting up six points and four assists in a hurry before a flare up ...

Wild One In The Windy City

What a game.

The final score simply will signify another loss in a season chock full of them for the Raptors, but Saturday’s 102-101 OT loss to the Bulls in Chicago was quite possibly the Raptors most memorable effort of the season.

Down a couple more key players in DeMar DeRozan and Jerryd Bayless, the Raptors eight-man rotation let it all hang out against the league’s top team on the road, in the second night of a back-to-back and in their fourth game in five nights.

“Our guys fought out there all night,” ...

Raptors Show Some Grit In Big Win Over Knicks

A simple statement from our #RTZ Tweet of the Night winner @Liston, but one that speaks volumes about two distinct and clashing trains of thought present in the Raptors’ 96-79 win over the Knicks on Friday at ACC.

First the Linsanity portion, which saw large pockets of the sellout crowd out in force to support Knicks lead guard Jeremy Lin. Groups of fans clearly had planned for this event, as there were shirts and signs that ran the gamut of every terrible pun involving a surname that didn’t resonate quite as ...

Raptors Roster Down To Twelve

A thin Raptors roster got a little slimmer on Friday with the news that veteran forward Rasual Butler was waived by the club.

Butler, who was brought in for his defence and ability to stretch the floor on offence, never really found his shot this season– he connected on just 30 per cent of his shots from the field and hit at only a 27 per cent clip from beyond the arc.

His best game with the Raptors came against the Knicks in New York (tonight’s opponent) where he put up season-highs ...
