Raptors Don’t Wilt, But Can’t Beat Heat

The Raptors brought a super-sized effort to Miami on Super Bowl Sunday, but a brief sputter in the third quarter proved to be enough of an opportunity for the Heat to exploit in a hard-fought 95-89 defeat.

Our Latest #RTZ Tweet of the Day winner @gabbyb11 agreed, winning a pair of #Raptors – Lakers tickets with this observation about the game:

Plenty of you also had a lot to say about an outstanding and aggressive performance from DeMar DeRozan (25 points, 8-16 FGM-A, 9-11 FTM-A), which you’ll see in a special edition ...

Raptors Dropped By Hawks At ACC

ATL_15_013112

After the Raptors’ most consistent effort and lopsided result in their favour on Sunday, that momentum was promptly halted on Tuesday with a 100-77 loss to the Hawks at ACC. It looked like the Raptors were ready for a fight early, but their offence sputtered in the second quarter, Joe Johnson kept a hot start rolling into the break for Atlanta and the home side couldn’t recover.

“I thought we came out with a competitive spirit but I didn’t think that we sustained it long enough,” said head coach Dwane Casey ...

Raptors Win Second Straight, But Lose Bargnani…

Just an unbelievably bittersweet result from the Raptors on Wednesday night, as they leave it all on the floor in the second game of a back-to-back in Utah.

They’ll take the well-earned 111-106 double overtime road win to end their recent futility against the Jazz, but the greater concern has to be the well-being of Andrea Bargnani, who was forced to leave the first overtime period after aggravating his left calf strain.

According to @RaptorsPR, Bargnani will be re-examined tomorrow in Denver and we’ll bring you any updates as soon as we ...
