MacKenzie: Lessons From Loss | Box Score | Photo Gallery | Video Highlights & Post-Game Reaction

TORONTO (CP) – Kyle Lowry sat at his locker nursing a headache in the moments after the Toronto Raptors’ loss on Sunday, the product of a misplaced knee.

The Raptors were thoroughly dismantled by a speedy Phoenix Suns team in a 121-113 loss, but Lowry and coach Dwane Casey insisted there would be no lingering pain after a rare defeat at home.

“It’s not a systemic problem, it’s one game, we knew we weren’t going to go ...

Raptors Take Control Late In Bounce Back Win Over Grizzlies

recap

Recap | Box Score | Photos | Highlights & Post-Game Reaction

As the Toronto Raptors push toward the postseason, they need to learn from their losses and not make the same mistakes twice. On Friday night in a convincing 99-86 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, Toronto seemed to be playing to avenge a loss to the Brooklyn Nets earlier in the week.

While the Raptors allowed Brooklyn to overwhelm them with their experience and be the aggressors from the jump, against the Grizzlies, save for a slow start, they were ready.

“I don’t mean this in ...

By Akasha Di Tomasso – Raptors.com

On August 29th, 2013 Dwayne Harrison, a twenty-three year old George Brown College basketball player was playing a pick-up game when he collapsed on the court at Lawrence Heights Community Centre. Harrison had gone into sudden cardiac arrest.

Ted Rennie, a Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation custodian was nearby and immediately called 911. Luckily, Ted had also been trained as a part of Toronto EMS’ Safe City program. That training, in combination with the assistance he received from a bystander and Toronto Emergency Medical Dispatcher Rocky ...
