Raptors Camp Wraps In Halifax With Intra-Squad Game

Some thoughts after Team Black’s 92-64 win over Team Gray in a spirited Raptors intra-squad game to wrap up Training Camp in Halifax.

- Yes, it was just an intra-squad scrimmage. No, it shouldn’t diminish DeMar DeRozan taking four three-pointers on Saturday and drilling a three of them on his way to a game-high 21 points.

Long distance shooting has been a huge focal point for DeRozan this past offseason, as he attempts to improve upon his 28.3 per cent shooting from behind the arc in 2012-13 (a career-best mark).

All eyes were on Drake as he and the Raptors announced a new partnership as well as the acquisition of the 2016 All-Star Game.

Raptors, Fans Get Together To #RideWithRG

It’s been a big weekend for Rudy Gay, who was named as an ambassador for the Kids, Cops & Computers program on Friday before following up with a fun event for his fans on a perfect Saturday in Toronto.

Gay invited his followers on social media for a bike ride along Toronto’s Waterfront and brought teammates DeMar DeRozan, Amir Johnson, Aaron Gray, Quincy Acy, Dwight Buycks and Chris Wright with him.

Rudy Gay Clicks For 22… Laptops

Raptors Rudy Gay and Police Chief Bill Blair lend a hand to Taedan Lisle.

There is one extra child somewhere in Toronto clutching a laptop computer because a decade ago Raptors star Rudy Gay decided to change his uniform number.

The Raptors forward was at Lord Dufferin Junior and Senior Public School in downtown Toronto on Friday, lending his name and his time to the school’s Kids, Cops and Computers program.

Raptors Rudy Gay and Police Chief Bill Blair lend a hand to Taedan Lisle.

Gay donated 22 laptops to the program which gives kids in less affluent neighbourhoods access to computers.
