Raptors Assist Local Officials With Latest Annual Seminar

On Sunday, September 8th, the second annual Raptors Officials’ Seminar took place in the Raptors practice court. The Raptors host this event yearly in association with Fox 40 International to encourage the recruitment and development of basketball officials in Ontario.

Paul Johnson, the president of the Ontario Association of Basketball Officials (OABO) commented on the positive impact of the event, saying, “OABO is thrilled with the on-going partnership with the Raptors. A Throwback Kind Of Week…

With a new Raptors season just on the horizon, it’s been a pretty fascinating week of nostalgia in these dog days of summer.

Last week, we saw President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Masai Ujiri in Johannesburg with none other than fellow Nigerian, former Raptor and Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon.

This week, we’re seeing those more of those ties as Ujiri arranged for forwards Rudy Gay and Austin Daye to spend a week working with Olajuwon in Houston.

Raptors president of basketball operations and general manager Masai Ujiri has been in Johannesburg, South Africa recently to celebrate the inaugural Nelson Mandela Sport and Cultural Day, as well as, take part in the 11th annual Basketball Without Borders Africa camp.
