Raptors Can’t Win Defensive Slugfest Against Grizzlies

MEM_gay_drive300

Gay was held to just 13 points and three assists as the Toronto Raptors fell 88-82 to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Raptors head coach Dwane Casey said he felt sorry for Gay, who entered the game averaging 21.1 ...

dd_300_021913

“It felt like I was in high school again,” DeMar DeRozan said. “I think we got a shot clock violation — I couldn’t even find the shot clock.”

Playing with an improvised scoreboard, horn, game clock and 24-second clock because of a malfunction in the Verizon Center’s scoring system, the Raptors beat the Washington Wizards 96-88 Tuesday night.

The rook rolls home with the trophy.
Going for “#VictoryBaby” numero five in Washington.
A very happy second half of the NBA season!

As we get back to the regularly scheduled program and business commences on the road tonight for the team, the leftovers from the sunny all star weekend in the south are still dripping on our minds. Oh, what a flight! I’m not ...

“Keep your dribble low when you are faced up with defense, you got to protect the ball,” my coach yelled.

To my 14 year old basketball newbie’s logic this looked counter intuitive. I asked “ But coach, if I keep my dribble low then I need to bend, If I bend I can’t see my open man!”

Coach blew his whistle. We all stopped bouncing balls. Few ...
