Raptors Show Some Grit In Big Win Over Knicks

A simple statement from our #RTZ Tweet of the Night winner @Liston, but one that speaks volumes about two distinct and clashing trains of thought present in the Raptors’ 96-79 win over the Knicks on Friday at ACC.

First the Linsanity portion, which saw large pockets of the sellout crowd out in force to support Knicks lead guard Jeremy Lin. Groups of fans clearly had planned for this event, as there were shirts and signs that ran the gamut of every terrible pun involving a surname that didn’t resonate quite as ...

Raptors Roster Down To Twelve

A thin Raptors roster got a little slimmer on Friday with the news that veteran forward Rasual Butler was waived by the club.

Butler, who was brought in for his defence and ability to stretch the floor on offence, never really found his shot this season– he connected on just 30 per cent of his shots from the field and hit at only a 27 per cent clip from beyond the arc.

Top Tweets From Canadian Forces Night

Well said by #RTZ Tweet of the Night Winner @SoldOnStockdale, after a great night of recognition for the men and women of the Canadian Forces.

On court meanwhile, a familiar script continues for the Raptors, who once again learned the hard way that anything less than four quarters of solid basketball will typically not result in a “W” — especially against a contending unit like the league-leading Bulls.

Even without reigning MVP Derrick Rose in the lineup, Chicago put on an astounding display beginning at the nine-minute mark of the fourth quarter, ...
