Raptors Announce 2012 Preseason Schedule

The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday a seven-game preseason schedule featuring four contests at Air Canada Centre. As previously announced, the Raptors will return to Montreal as part of the NBA Canada Series to face the New York Knicks on October 19. The Knicks and Raptors sold out the Bell Centre on October 22, 2010.

Honour coincides with 40th anniversary of his becoming the first African-American General Manager in professional sports 

Forty years after the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks named him the first African-American general manager in all of professional sports, Hall of Famer Wayne Embry will be honoured by the annual Fellowship Open golf tournament with its Legends Award. The event will take place August 17 in Milwaukee.

The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday that Head Coach Dwane Casey and his team will conduct training camp in Halifax, Nova Scotia from October 1-6, featuring an intra-squad game Saturday, October 6 at noon at the Halifax Metro Centre.

The Toronto Raptors announced Monday they have traded forward James Johnson to the Sacramento Kings for a 2014 second-round draft choice. The Kings will absorb the remainder of Johnson’s contract providing the Raptors with additional roster and salary cap flexibility.
