Raptors Release 2012-13 Schedule

The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday their 2012-13 regular season schedule. The club will tip-off its 18th season in the National Basketball Association at Air Canada Centre on Wednesday, October 31 versus the Indiana Pacers. This also marks the 12th time in team history the club has started the regular season at home.

Raptors To Hold Training Camp In Halifax

Team to play intra-squad game at Halifax Metro Centre

 

The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday that Head Coach Dwane Casey and his team will conduct training camp in Halifax, Nova Scotia from October 1-6, featuring an intra-squad game Saturday, October 6 at noon at the Halifax Metro Centre.

A voluntary donation of $10 per ticket is suggested for admission to the intra-squad game, benefitting Feed Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame Education Program, Kidsport Nova Scotia and YWCA Supportive Housing for Young Mothers. The Toronto Raptors announced Wednesday they have signed centre Jonas Valanciunas (YO-nahs vah-lahn-CHEW-nahs) to his rookie scale contract. The Toronto Raptors announced Monday they have signed forward Quincy Acy to a multi-year contract. The Raptors selected Acy with the 37th selection in the 2012 NBA Draft. Per team policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Acy had six points and six rebounds in his NBA Summer League debut with Toronto on Friday.

Raptors Deal James Johnson To Kings

The Toronto Raptors announced Monday they have traded forward James Johnson to the Sacramento Kings for a 2014 second-round draft choice. The Kings will absorb the remainder of Johnson’s contract providing the Raptors with additional roster and salary cap flexibility.

The Toronto Raptors announced Friday their 10-man roster for the 2012 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. First-round draft pick Terrence Ross and second-round selection Quincy Acy will join Raptor Ed Davis on this year’s squad.
