DeRozan Named To 2012 USA Basketball Select Team

USA Basketball announced Monday that Toronto Raptors guard-forward DeMar DeRozan has been named to the 2012 USA Basketball Select Team. The 13 member Select Team will assemble in Las Vegas and conduct a training session July 5, then train with the USA Basketball Men’s National Team July 6-11.

The Toronto Raptors announced Friday they have picked up the option on Head Coach Dwane Casey’s contract to extend through the 2013-14 season.

The Toronto Raptors announced Friday centre-forward Andrea Bargnani will miss the remainder of the 2011-12 season. He exited Sunday’s game in Oklahoma City at the 4:03 mark of the second quarter with left calf tightness.

The Toronto Raptors announced Friday they have signed guard Justin Dentmon to a 10-day contract. He is the 49th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2011-12 NBA D-League season.

Dentmon has averaged 22.8 points, 5.5 assists and 37.2 minutes in 40 games, all starts, with the NBA D-League’s Austin (Texas) Toros.
