Raptors president of basketball operations and GM Masai Ujiri along with members of his staff opened the market at the Toronto Stock Exchange on Tuesday morning, which also saw the announcement of BMO as a major partner for the 2013-14 season.
The morning started as Ujiri presented BMO Chief Marketing Officer and Head Strategist Joanna Rotenberg with a signed Raptors jersey and publicly announced the Raptors’ new partnership with BMO.
But it wasn’t long before it was time for everyone to get in front of the camera and ring the bell (which is actually touch the touchscreen now).
The partnership offers a big assist for the game at a grassroots level, as BMO will team up with the Raptors to host basketball skills clinics featuring Raptors players and coaches, along with national team players. BMO and the Raptors will also work with 10 different charities over the course of the season to donate tickets and provide special access to Raptors events.
For a more visible sign of the partnership, look no further than the Raptors bench (OK, maybe a foot or two further), where you’ll see the BMO logo courtside during every home game.
