TORONTO (CP) – A night that began with the unfurling of their Atlantic Division banner ended with the Toronto Raptors setting a franchise record for victories.

But they barely paused to soak up the good feelings Wednesday after beating the lowly Milwaukee Bucks 110-100 to notch win No. 48.

“We’ve got a bigger goal,” said Kyle Lowry.

TORONTO (CP)_ Even after his team had walked off the court with a comfortable victory, Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey made no apologies for his pre-game concerns his team would take this one for granted.

“We don’t have any right, yet, to overlook anyone,” Casey said after the Raptors defeated the lowly Milwaukee Bucks 116-94 at Air Canada Centre on Monday night. “This is a tough league and we’re still building, we’re still getting there, so I can’t allow our guys ...

MILWAUKEE (CP) — Monta Ellis did it — again.

Ellis scored six of his 23 points in overtime and Ersan Ilyasova and Brandon Jennings added five apiece in the extra period to spark the Milwaukee Bucks to a 122-114 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night.

Ellis was the star of the Bucks’ 110-107 victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night. He scored 27 points, but it was his last shot, a 3-pointer at the buzzer, that sealed the win.

Against Toronto, Ellis was 9 of 18 from the floor ...

Raptors Defence Slips In Loss To Bucks

For a team striving to build on a new foundation of defence, Raptors head coach Dwane Casey is starting to see cracks.

“I just mentioned to the team that we’ve lost that pride of guarding our yard,” Casey said after the Raptors’ 105-99 loss to the Bucks at ACC on Wednesday. ”What we established in training camp has slipped.”

Defence was also on the mind of @jason_leite, who earned the #RTZ Tweet of the Night with the following:
