With their statement-making win in the Atlantic Division, the Toronto Raptors have clinched a second straight winning month for the first time in four years.

Though they could be without leading scorer DeMar DeRozan, the first-place Raptors appear to have a good opportunity to keep it going against the NBA’s worst road team.

Toronto goes for its fourth win in five games Wednesday night as it tries to deal the Orlando Magic a 10th straight loss away from home (7 PM ET, ...

TORONTO (CP) — Terrence Ross seemed a bit taken aback by all the fuss.

Although he’d just matched a Toronto Raptors record with 51 points, Ross wasn’t sure why someone threw him a game ball. With the media crowding around his locker, he noted that New York’s Carmelo Anthony poured in 62 on Friday night and Oklahoma’s Kevin Durant had 54 earlier this month.

It was left to teammate Greivis Vasquez to offer some perspective, noting that while those veterans may have scored ...

The Toronto Raptors (21-20) needed a huge performance from DeMar DeRozan to rescue them from a huge deficit in their last game.

DeRozan might be poised for another career night against the Philadelphia 76ers (14-28) given what he’s done so far in the season series.

He’ll try to help Toronto win a third straight meeting with the 76ers on Friday night when the Raptors visit Philadelphia (7 PM ET, TSN2, TSN 1050).

Throwback Thursday: 40+ Point Props

Image-54

Every week, with Thursday waving at me in the distance, I sit down and ponder the next throwback. And every week there are endless options when it comes to making, breaking or taking Raptors franchise records. Why? Because it’s a different kind of season, ain’t it?

Yesterday, NBA diehards took a moment to dwell in the purple and gold nostalgia of eight years prior. It was January 22, 2006 that Kobe Bryant went all superhuman with an 81-point game. That’s second in NBA history just under Wilt Chamberlain’s legendary 100-point circus. ...

Raptors Surge Past Mavericks At Home

DeMar-012214

Box Score | Photos | Video Highlights & Post-Game Reaction

TORONTO (CP) — With teammate Kyle Lowry ailing, DeMar DeRozan put the Toronto Raptors on his shoulders Wednesday night.

DeRozan had a career-high 40 points to rally the Raptors to a 93-85 home win over the Dallas Mavericks, their first victory in three games. And with fellow guard Lowry struggling with the stomach flu _ he went 0-for-10 from the field, including 0-for-6 from beyond the arc — it was DeRozan who led Toronto to its third straight decision over the Mavs.

“Once I saw Kyle with ...
