Casey Man In The Middle As Raps Battle Injuries

Now more than ever, Dwane Casey has to steer his young Raptors.

Point guard Kyle Lowry: bruised bone in right foot. Out for a week or two but these things can drag on.

Swingman Alan Anderson: Partially torn plantar fascia tissue in left foot. Three to six weeks.

Landry Fields: Ulnar nerve damage in right elbow surgically repaired on Wednesday. No date for return.

As a wiseguy once said…“Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?”

Right now, in a way he never had to last season, Dwane Casey has ...

Fields To Have Hand Examined

After the Raptors’ latest slow start against the Mavs, head coach Dwane Casey acknowledged that a change to his starting five would have to be a consideration.

Injury may make that a necessity for Saturday’s home matchup vs the Sixers on Saturday (7PM, TSN, FAN590).

Landry Fields, who has started at small forward in every game for the Raptors, visited a hand specialist on Friday to examine discomfort in his right hand that he’s reportedly been experiencing for weeks.

The third-year pro has clearly struggled with his offence to start the season ...

Quick Hits From A Thunderous Loss

Kyle Lowry landed on Serge Ibaka

After a week that saw the Raptors take a modest step forward in their development, it’s hard not to view Tuesday’s 108-88 road loss to the Thunder as anything less than two steps back. Some quick hits from the second biggest blowout of the night south of the border.

– We’ll get to the result in a second, but the greater concern has to be for point guard Kyle Lowry, who left the game in the second quarter with a right ankle sprain that looked absolutely awful in real time after ...
