One day after debuting at Las Vegas Summer League with a win, the Toronto Raptors came out flat against the Denver Nuggets and were handed a 110-82 loss on Friday afternoon.

In their second game in as many days, the Raptors came out flat to start and allowed the Nuggets to race out to a 32-15 lead after the opening quarter. DENVER (CP) – Toronto coach Dwane Casey wasn’t ready to celebrate after the Raptors ended a decade-long drought in Denver. He was too upset about his team’s lacklustre finish.

DeMar DeRozan scored 19 points, Terrence Ross had 18 and Toronto, after opening a 25-point lead, settled for a 100-90 victory over the Nuggets on Friday night.

TORONTO (AP) Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey knows his starters can’t play the entire game.

After Sunday’s 112-98 loss to the Denver Nuggets, he probably wishes they could.

The Nuggets reserves outscored their Raptors counterparts 72-16 as Denver pulled away in the fourth quarter.
