Raptors Maul Grizzlies In Preseason Rout At ACC

TORONTO (AP) – DeMar DeRozan scored 21 points, Rudy Gay had 15 against his former team and the Toronto Raptors beat the Memphis Grizzlies 108-72 on Wednesday night, their fifth straight preseason win.

Jonas Valanciunas had 10 points and nine rebounds before leaving with an injury and Terrence Ross scored 10 points for the Raptors (6-1), who led by as many as 39 points.

Austin Daye had 14 points for Toronto, which is 4-0 when scoring 100 points.

Raptors Coaches Open House Helps Grow The Game

As leaders in developing the game of basketball in Canada, the Toronto Raptors hosted over 670 local coaches at their annual Coaches’ Open House at Air Canada Centre.

The Raptors Coaches’ Open House is a free program that offers local coaches of all levels the opportunity to learn from team coaches and special guests.

Jack Of All Trades Julyan Stone Keeps Rolling

His ability to guard fellow point guards as well as shooting guards and small forwards is earning Julyan Stone a look at Raptors training camp.

Maybe, it’s just a crack, but the window for a spot on the Raptors roster remains open for Julyan Stone.

The 24-year-old point guard is an intriguing prospect. Stone played sparingly over two years with the Denver Nuggets but caught the eye of Masai Ujiri who, you might have heard, left the Nuggets for the Raptors this summer.

Raptor Hopeful Morais Knows He Has Already Won

He had to be a man when he was a boy. Now, at 27, Raptors hopeful Carlos Morais likens himself to a kid in grade school.

Morais, a six-four-shooting guard was credited with being the first Angolan to appear in an NBA game when he played the final three minutes of the Raptors preseason loss to Minnesota, Wednesday.
