Pregame With Patrick Patterson

Patrick Patterson made his return to the Raptors lineup earlier this week following an elbow injury. The versatile forward sat down with me prior to tonight’s matchup against the Pacers at Air Canada Centre (7 PM ET, TSN, TSN 1050).

Season Series: Pacers 2-1

The Toronto Raptors will try to split their season series against the Indiana Pacers on Friday night at the Air Canada Centre. While the Raptors could be without Kyle Lowry and Amir Johnson for the second straight game —and DeMar DeRozan will be playing with a non-shooting hand that has five stitches down the middle — they’ve looked better than the Pacers in recent weeks.

Indiana has looked like a very different team than the one that started the ...

Throwback Thursday: Casey’s Coaching Milestone

Sacramento Kings v Toronto Raptors

With a victory to kick off the month of April, the Toronto Raptors banked their 43rd win of the season and Dwane Casey recorded his 100th win as the Raptors head coach, although shaking off the recognition in the post game presser.

Among seven prior Raptors head coaches, Casey is only the third in franchise history to hit the 100 mark on the victory ladder.

Casey trails long time NBA presence Lenny Wilkens who served as the Raptors head coach from 2000-2003. He claimed 113 wins over his three seasons with the ...

Game Recap | Box Score | Photos | Video Highlights & Post-Game Reaction | More From MacKenzie

It’s been five months since the Toronto Raptors lost a double-overtime affair to the Rockets in Houston. In those five months the Raptors traded their highest-paid player, gained a legitimate bench, started figuring things out and clinched the playoffs. Basically, that team that lost to the Rockets in November doesn’t exist anymore.

On Wednesday night at Air Canada Centre, Toronto showed Houston how much has happened since their last meeting, collecting a 107-103 victory despite ...

TORONTO (CP) – The clock was ticking down and the Toronto Raptors were clutching a one-point lead. And Kyle Lowry, the player who has so often carried them down the stretch, was in the locker-room getting treatment for a sore and swollen knee.

But with DeMar DeRozan leading the way, the Raptors showed the resiliency that has become part of their makeup this season en route to a 107-103 victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

“Every win is great for ...

Sore Left Knee Forces Lowry To Sit Against Rockets

NOP_lowry600

The Toronto Raptors will be without Kyle Lowry against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night. After taking a hit from LeBron James during Toronto’s 93-83 loss to the Heat in Miami on Monday night, Lowry will be on the inactive list against Houston.

During Raptors head coach Dwane Casey’s pre-game media session he said Lowry had received treatment on his knee since returning from the team’s road trip and would go through tests to see how he felt before a decision would be made with the medical staff on his ...

Game Day: Raptors vs. Rockets

NBA.com Game Preview | Raptors Game Notes | Rockets Game Notes

Season Series: Rockets 1-0

The Toronto Raptors were a completely different team the last time they saw the Houston Rockets. At the Toyota Center on November 11th, 2013, the Raptors came out on the losing end of a seemingly never-ending 110-104 double-overtime decision.

Rudy Gay led the team in scoring with 29 points, but needed to hoist 37 shots to get it. DeMar DeRozan shot just 6-for-25 in the game and Kyle Lowry was 6-for-16 from the floor on a night when the ...

#RTZ Digital Rundown: Raptors @ Heat

resize

The Raptors were trying to change franchise history once again this season by claiming a victory in Miami for the first time since 2008. It was a hard-fought game against the NBA champs who sat one spot above them in the east at tip-off and took the first seed with this win. #RTZ

Raptors Succumb To Heat

MIAMI (CP) – For the first time all season, the Miami Heat are alone atop the Eastern Conference.

And that’s quite a turnaround from how things seemed less than a week ago.

LeBron James fought through a sore back to score 32 points, Chris Bosh added 18 and the Heat used another strong defensive effort to beat the Toronto Raptors 93-83 on Monday night. The win pushed the two-time defending NBA champions percentage points ahead of the struggling Indiana Pacers in the ...
