CLEVELAND (CP) – The Raptors aren’t officially in the NBA playoffs. They don’t look ready for them, either.

Toronto fell behind by 21 points in the third quarter, and then battled back to take a 95-94 lead. But the Raptors fell apart in the final minutes.

ATL_lowry300

In a Sunday matinee against the Atlanta Hawks the Toronto Raptors were able to pull out a 96-86 victory. After sleepwalking through the first three quarters, the Raptors outscored Atlanta 36-15 in the fourth. Trailing by three points with less than four minutes remaining, Toronto reeled off a 15-2 run to close the game and run away with the win.

Season Series: Raptors 1-2

The Toronto Raptors have a day off between games, though it might not feel that way considering the way their last one ended. They probably would have preferred to get right back to work and forget about it.

The Raptors will get that opportunity Sunday at home against the Atlanta Hawks. Friday night at home against Oklahoma City, Toronto (38-30) let an eight-point lead slip away in the final minute of the second overtime and watched Kevin Durant drain a ...

MacKenzie: Durant Praises, Torches Raptors

durant_gv600

Late Thursday night, Kevin Durant tweeted a Toronto shout out.

“This what Sauga feel like in the night time.”

The tweet is a lyric from Mississauga artist PartyNextDoor’s “Break From Toronto.”

Late Friday night, Durant poured in a 51-point, 12-rebound, seven-assist performance in a double-overtime victory against the Toronto Raptors.

Prior to giving Air Canada Centre its most gut-wrenching loss of the season, Durant held court in Oklahoma City’s locker room in front of a projector showing game film.

A childhood fan of the Toronto Raptors, he was asked a lot of questions about the ...
