History Offers A Mixed Bag If Raptors Pick Eighth

Former Raptor T.J. Ford was selected eighth overall by the Bucks in 2003

He is six-foot-five inches tall.

He played in the NBA for about six years and averaged 9.6 points per game with just under four rebounds (3.93) per contest.

He is Mr. Eight, the statistical composite of the players chosen eighth in the NBA draft.

We looked at 32 players drafted in the eighth spot since 1980 and found…

1. Mr. Eight doesn’t play centre. Rafael Araujo (Toronto), DeSagana Diop (Cleveland), Adonal Foyle (Golden State) and Olden Polynice (Chicago) are the only […]

End Of Season Begins A New Chapter For Raptors

Full Season-Ending News Conference Playlists: Bryan Colangelo | Dwane Casey | Raptors Players

There is no blueprint without a beginning.

There can be no beginning without a careful study of a blueprint.

That’s where the Toronto Raptors are right now. They have a blueprint. As of last night’s win over New Jersey, they have their beginning.

This was a different kind of end of season. No one said the club was better than their record. No one is kidding themselves about a quick entry into the league elite. The club finished 23-43.

But […]

Bargnani, who finishes his season with averages of 19.5 points and 5.6 […]
