SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Rudy Gay said he didn’t harbour a sense of revenge Wednesday night facing his former team  the Toronto Raptors for the first time since a December trade.

His numbers said it all.

DeMarcus Cousins had 25 points and 10 rebounds, Gay added 24 points and 10 rebounds, and the Kings held off the Raptors in the fourth quarter for a 109-101 victory.

The Dec. 9 trade brought Gay, Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray to Sacramento in exchange for Patterson, John Salmons, Greivis Vasquez […]

NBA.com Preview | Raptors Game Notes | Kings Game Notes

From NBA.com: The Toronto Raptors’ decision to trade Rudy Gay was seen largely as a move aimed at financial flexibility.

Since the deal, though, they’ve been one of the better teams in the NBA.

Toronto will face Gay for the first time since trading him when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night.

Gay shifted teams for the second time in less than two seasons as part of a seven-player deal Dec. 9. The trade also saw Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy join him in Sacramento, while […]

The Atlantic Division leaders seek their sixth win in eight games while beating the Jazz for the only the second time in eight visits Monday night.

Following a 100-90 win in Denver on Friday in the opener of a season-high five-game swing, the […]

Raptors Fall Short To Clippers At Air Canada Centre

Box Score | Photos | Video Highlights & Post-Game Reaction

TORONTO (CP) — Terrence Ross seemed a bit taken aback by all the fuss.

Although he’d just matched a Toronto Raptors record with 51 points, Ross wasn’t sure why someone threw him a game ball. With the media crowding around his locker, he noted that New York’s Carmelo Anthony poured in 62 on Friday night and Oklahoma’s Kevin Durant had 54 earlier this month.

It was left to teammate Greivis Vasquez to offer some perspective, noting that while those veterans may have scored […]

The Toronto Raptors (21-20) needed a huge performance from DeMar DeRozan to rescue them from a huge deficit in their last game.

DeRozan might be poised for another career night against the Philadelphia 76ers (14-28) given what he’s done so far in the season series.

He’ll try to help Toronto win a third straight meeting with the 76ers on Friday night when the Raptors visit Philadelphia (7 PM ET, TSN2, TSN 1050).

Raptors Surge Past Mavericks At Home

Box Score | Photos | Video Highlights & Post-Game Reaction

TORONTO (CP) — With teammate Kyle Lowry ailing, DeMar DeRozan put the Toronto Raptors on his shoulders Wednesday night.

DeRozan had a career-high 40 points to rally the Raptors to a 93-85 home win over the Dallas Mavericks, their first victory in three games. And with fellow guard Lowry struggling with the stomach flu _ he went 0-for-10 from the field, including 0-for-6 from beyond the arc — it was DeRozan who led Toronto to its third straight decision over the Mavs.

“Once I saw Kyle with […]
