Masai Ujiri, Citizen Of The World, Comes Home

Masai Ujiri is the Raptors fifth General Manager.

“I don’t have anything written. I’m going to speak straight from my heart.

“I’m home.”

With those words, Masai Ujiri became the first repatriated Raptors executive.

Ujiri is the reigning NBA Executive of the Year thanks to a 57-25 season with the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets were one of the youngest teams in the NBA and, at 42, Ujiri, like his former club, hasn’t ...

The Raptors are anxious to see what they can achieve with Rudy Gay playing a full season.

The Raptors are anxious to see what they can achieve with Rudy Gay playing a full season.

No matter how you look at, the Raptors disappointing 34-48 season turned on the club’s first 23 games and their inability to win more than four of them.

But there are other numbers as well.

Start with 18-17. That’s the club’s record since they acquired Rudy Gay on January 30.

There are more. Amir Johnson’s career best 10 points ...

Latest “Jam Session” Helps Acy Find His Way In April

In a final stretch that has been designated for development of the youngest Raptors, Quincy Acy is beginning to make his mark.

The rugged rookie forward out of Baylor returned from his second stint with NBA D-League’s Bakersfield Jam on March 26th and in April, he’s seen his numbers with the Raptors rise to season-high averages of 6.6 points and three rebounds in just under 17 minutes per game.

Valanciunas Could Be Back Friday

The play of rookie Jonas Valanciunas has been a bright spot for the Raptors.

Even when he isn’t around people are talking about Jonas Valanciunas.

Valanciunas missed practice yesterday to have his injured neck examined as the Raptors prepared for their Friday date against Chicago.

Valanciunas hurt his neck Tuesday against the Bulls but Raptors coach Dwane Casey said it’s possible the Lithuanian rookie could be back in the lineup in time for Friday’s rematch.

“It’s not as bad as we first thought,” Casey said. “Right now he’s still in the soft brace. He’ll be a game-time decision for Friday but if it’s anywhere close we won’t ...

Making The Most Of Amir With A Camera…

Amir Johnson is guaranteed to bring maximum effort every night on the court, but we also know that we’re guaranteed to get a few great moments from Amir between the whistles and off the court.

Last night, Amir dropped a prime example, when this happened:

Even better? The NBA Photographer working in Chicago for Getty Images, Jonathan Daniel got this great shot of Amir gone shutterbug on-court…

So we took that photo, and cropped out Amir…

And put him in the situation we felt was most awesome….

The possibilities are endless. Enjoy!
